AI can help civil society organisations save time, improve their work and make better use of limited resources. But where should you start? How do you choose the right tools, protect sensitive information and make sure AI-generated results are actually useful?
And if you are already using ChatGPT or other AI tools, how can you move beyond occasional prompts and make AI a more reliable part of your organisation’s work?
The EU-funded Eastern Partnership Civil Society Facility invites civil society organisations from the Eastern Partnership countries to join “CSOs & AI” Webinars – two practical webinars designed to help CSOs understand, evaluate and use artificial intelligence more effectively and responsibly.
Led by Miloš Janković, a consultant, trainer and mentor with extensive experience in civil society and digital innovation, the webinars will combine essential AI knowledge with practical guidance on setting up AI tools for organisational needs.
Webinar 1: AI Foundations and Policy for CSOs
12 November 2026 / 13:00 – 14:30 CET
You don’t need to be a technology expert to use AI. But understanding how it works, what it can and can’t do, and what risks it brings is essential for using it responsibly. This session will help you make informed decisions about AI tools and establish basic rules for their use within your organisation.
What will you learn?
- How generative AI works: Understand how AI language models produce answers, why they sometimes make mistakes and why their outputs need to be checked.
- How to use AI responsibly: Identify the key issues your organisation should address in an internal AI policy and what these mean in practice.
- How to choose the right AI tools: Compare free and paid, proprietary and open-source solutions, considering your tasks, budget and control over data.
By the end of the webinar, you will have a clearer understanding of AI’s possibilities and limitations, criteria for choosing appropriate tools and an outline of what your organisation’s AI policy should cover. Register for Webinar 1
Webinar 2: AI Set-up for CSOs
19 November 2026 / 13:00 – 14:30 CET
Are you using AI mostly by typing a question into ChatGPT and hoping for a good answer? There is a more systematic way to work with it.
This webinar will introduce seven layers that influence the quality of AI-generated results and show you how to configure AI tools around your organisation’s needs, knowledge and ways of working.
What will you learn?
- Build a better AI setup: Understand the seven layers of an AI system, what each does and how to configure them step by step.
- Give AI the right context: Learn what belongs in instructions, memory, projects and files so AI can work with relevant organisational information.
- Turn your organisation’s expertise into reusable AI skills: Learn how to capture your methods, standards and examples in a skill file and test whether AI follows them.
- Choose the right tools and settings: Understand how to select models, connectors and tools depending on the task, required access and level of effort.
- Write better prompts and evaluate results: Define clear objectives, explain what a good output should look like and review AI-generated work while keeping decisions in human hands.
By the end of the session, you will understand how to move from one-off AI interactions towards a more structured setup that supports your organisation’s work. Register for Webinar 2,
