On 26-27 June 2016, the Conference “Elaboration of Action Plan for the Memorandum of Cooperation between the European Integration Committee of the Parliament of Georgia and the Georgian National Platform” was held in Kakheti, Georgia.
The meeting was attended by both the representatives of the state bodies and civil society activists, in particular: Mr. Archil Karaulashvili – First Deputy State Minister of Georgia on European and Euro-Atlantic Integration; Mr. Levan Berdzenishvili – Chairman of the European Integration Committee of the Parliament of Georgia; Mr. Vakhtang Khmaladze – Chairman of the Legal Issues Committee of the Parliament of Georgia; Representatives from the of the Staff Office Committee on European Integration of the Parliament of Georgia; Mrs. Dovile Sukyte – Policy Analyst at Eastern Europe Studies Centre; Mr. Uladzislau Vialichka – Co-chair of the EaP CSF Steering Committee; Mr. Kakha Gogolashvili – Chairman of the EaP CSF Georgian National Platform; Mr. Lasha Tughushi – EaP CSF Georgian National Coordinator.
A Memorandum of Cooperation (“MoC”) was signed between the European Integration Committee of the Parliament of Georgia and EaP CSF Georgian National Platform on 26th of February 2016. The parties agreed to develop and approve the Action Plan for implementation of the MoC.
During the conference, the representatives of the EaP CSF Georgian National Platform member organisations with the Staff Office Committee on European Integration of the Parliament of Georgia elaborated the Action Plan of MoC. The Action Plan shall enter into force from the date of its publication on the official website of the Parliament.
