Preparations for the Eastern Partnership Summit in November in full speed as the EU revises the 20 key deliverables for 2020 for the Eastern Partnership
The Eastern Partnership (EaP) is a joint policy initiative between the European Union and its six Eastern neighbours: Armenia, Azerbaijan, Belarus, Georgia, Moldova and Ukraine.
EU Member States and EaP Partner countries share a view that the EaP should to focus on delivering tangible results to citizens. In response, the European Commission and the European External Action Service identified a set of 20 deliverables for 2020, first published in December 2016, which aim to deliver concrete results and step up actions in four key priority areas:
- economic development and market opportunities;
- strengthening institutions and good governance;
- connectivity, energy efficiency, environment and climate change;
- mobility and people-to-people contacts.

This will focus the work in preparation of the Brussels Summit in 2017 and beyond.
