Looking to apply for one of our Open Calls but not sure which one is right for you? We’re here to help!
The 2023 EaP Civil Society Fellowship Call and the EU-EaP Civic Tech Acceleration Hackathon are two exciting opportunities for civil society activists from Armenia, Azerbaijan, Belarus, Georgia, Moldova, and Ukraine to get involved and make a difference in their countries.
But what’s the difference between the two initiatives?
- The EaP Civil Society Fellowship offers its Fellows the chance to take part in a programme designed to provide training, mentoring, and support for the development of their civic initiatives. Selected Fellows will receive up to €5,000 to develop their projects and will have access to a network of experts and professionals to help them achieve their goals.
- On the other hand, the Hackathon is a four-week program focused on the development of existing prototypes of digital solutions designed by civic tech teams. The top-scoring prototypes will be nominated for the 2023 Digitalisation for Civil Society Award, with the winning team receiving around €10,000 in support to launch their solution.
So, if you have an existing prototype of a civic tech solution and want to take it to the next level, the Hackathon is for you. If you’re looking for more extensive support, training, and funding for your civic initiative, then the Fellowship Programme is the way to go.
If both opportunities seem like a good fit for your skills and interests, we encourage you to apply for both initiatives. But please make sure to use the correct application forms and adapt your proposal accordingly.
Whichever program you choose, both are great opportunities to develop your skills, network with peers and experts, and make a positive impact in your community. So, don’t hesitate and apply today!
We hope this graph will help you!
